How to fit?
Screw method
Step 1: Unscrew and remove your old number plates
Step 2: Place your old number plate behind your new number plate
Step 3: Using a drill bit that is of similar size to your existing holes drill through the hold of your old number plates through to your new number plate
Step 4: Screw the plates to the car
Tips:
Ensure you drill through the rear of the plate as drilling through the front can cause it to crack
You can tape the two plates together before drilling to ensure the plate does not slip whilst drilling
If the holes are going through lettering and you have a 4D/3D Gel plate then you should not use the screw method and use the adhesive method. Alternatively you can use plate holders.
Please see the video below for a visual guide on how to screw your number plates.
Adhesive method
Step 1: Remove your old number plates
Step 2: Give the area where your number plate sits a thorough clean. It must be dust free and grease free to allow for the most effective bonding
Step 3: Apply 5 thin stickers to the front plate and 5 thick stickers to the rear plate. (We provide 5 thick stickers for the rear plate as some cars have raised number plate holes and the thin pads will not stick to the car)
Step 4: Apply the plate to the car whilst applying pressure in the areas where the sticky pads are for at least 10 seconds.
Tips:
Before removing your old number plates you can use masking tape to mark out where your plate is so you have a guide to follow for when you stick your new plates
Remove all old sticky pads if there are any on the car. You can use products such as 'sticky stuff remover' along with a prying tool to take them off.
Apply some heat (heat gun or hair dryer) to the pads and the surface of the car for ultimate bonding.
If the front bumper does not have a flat surface large enough for the plate you may need to use a combination of thin and thick stickers to accommodate for any dips in the bumper.
